Introducing Rev. Dr. Ann Marie Montgomery
Ann Marie comes to serve us as a part-time pastor. She will continue to serve Cadmus Presbyterian Church and we will be looking for creative ways to share pastoral leadership with
them going forward. She and her husband David served as co-pastors for almost 20 years in Murray, Kentucky before moving to Toledo. David is currently serving at First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green, Ohio so they head to work in opposite directions!
Ann Marie is mother to three grown sons, who live in Kentucky, Tennessee and North Carolina. She is also known as “Gigi” to three grandchildren- Margaret Grace (7), Owen (3) and 3 month old Emilia. (She’ll be more than happy to share pictures!)
Presbyterian since birth, Ann Marie has a deep love for Christ’s church and a deep sense of call to pastoral ministry. Her doctoral training is in the area of Spiritual Formation and the foundation of her ministry is based on helping to build relationships- between God and God’s people and within the community of faith.
When asked what her interests are, she’ll tell you she is an avid reader and usually has 2 or 3 books going at a time. She enjoys doing watercolor collage and makes baptismal designs through that medium. She likes to explore all types of artful expression. She enjoys gardening (flowers) but says she doesn’t have a green thumb. She has a need to use her creativity and we can expect to see evidence of that through our worship and fellowship as soon as we are able to gather together again face to face. Please welcome her and her gifts in the coming months as see what God’s Spirit might lead us to be and do!!
