Faith and Flicks is back. But in what form? And where? It may be the case that we have to zoom our session. It will be a two-church, First Presbyterian of Adrian and Adrian First United Methodist Church, Event. In any case (and we will keep you informed about the format) the date for our first discussion will be Tuesday November 16th at 7:00 p.m.

Our 1st film is “A Man Called Ove.” It is about a widower who has lost purpose after the death of his wife, except for keeping strict tabs on his small community. See how his life is transformed by that community when new neighbors move in. It is a heartwarming film, and you’ll love it. It is subtitled since it takes place in Sweden.

You can see the film on Amazon prime, and there is a DVD copy for circulation at 1st Presbyterian (on the table at the side entrance) until October 14th then it will go to the Methodist Church. If you have an Adrian library card, I have learned it is also available on Hoopla and Libby apps.

Remember if participating, the plan is that you view the movie prior to the November 16th gathering so you can be prepared to informally discuss the questions/scenes that Spencer has selected. This event has been well received in the past and I (LY) feel fortunate that Spencer (Bennett) has agreed this lead this activity again.
